Welcome to the Fluvial Landscape Lab
The Fluvial Landscape Lab is comprised of scientists and students who study the structure and function of floodplains, river networks, and other landscapes formed by or composed of running water. We integrate concepts from hydrology, landscape ecology, fluvial geomorphology, ecosystems ecology, and computer science to design, conduct, and publish peer-reviewed research.

Dr. Geoffrey Poole, Assistant Professor of Fluvial Landscape Ecology, manages the lab. Geoff is a member of the
Department of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences at
Montana State University, and co-directs the Computational Ecology Research Group — an interdisciplinary collaboration spanning Environmental and Computer Sciences.
Feel free to explore our web page to find out more about what we do. If the information provided here does not answer all of your questions, please contact Geoff for more information. Thanks for visiting!
